About WordPith

WordPith is made by Leafy Orb, a small studio that builds calm, useful apps. This site is the reference side of the WordPith app: every root and word here comes from the same lists the app uses.

Where the content comes from

Every word was split into its parts by hand. Etymologies are checked against Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 4.0) and the Online Etymology Dictionary; the clues and origin notes are written by us. Exam lists are curated from open frequency data and the Academic Word List (Coxhead).
